About SWAPU LIMITED (SWAPU)

SWAPU is a free, community-focused marketplace built for New Zealanders who want to trade goods locally instead of buying new. Rather than exchanging cash, members list items they no longer need and swap them for something they actually want — from electronics and clothing to vehicles, tools, and even jobs, properties, and businesses. It's a simple idea with a big impact: keeping useful items in circulation, saving Kiwis money, and reducing waste across the country.

SWAPU is designed for everyday New Zealanders — students, families, tradespeople, and small business owners — who want an easy, trustworthy way to trade with people in their own area. Every listing includes condition details, estimated value, and location, so members can find genuine local swaps without the hassle of shipping items across the country. Built-in messaging, swap requests, and peer feedback ratings help members trade with confidence, while automatic listing expiration keeps the marketplace fresh and relevant.

SWAPU is built and maintained by a small New Zealand-based team passionate about sustainability and community. We believe trading should be simple, safe, and good for the planet, and we're committed to continually improving the platform based on feedback from the people who use it every day.
